Less than two days after Conor McGregor tapped out against Khabib Nurmagomedov in one of the most talked about fights in UFC history, Jose Aldo has taken to social media to call out his former opponent for a rematch.
“There’s nowhere to run”, the Brazilian fighter wrote on Instagram and Twitter, “it’s time!” while also adding the hashtag, ‘joker’.
It’s been almost three years since McGregor and Aldo faced off in the Octagon with the Notorious winning after just 13 seconds with a one-punch knockout.

Aldo recovered from his defeats to current featherweight champion, Max Holloway when he scored a first-round knockout against Jeremy Stephens in Canada in July.
Back in September, he revealed to Brazilian media that he would be willing to move up to lightweight in order to compete at UFC 231.
While fans may be hoping for a repeat of this clash, McGregor has already stated his interest in having another go at his Russian opponent.
“Good knock. Looking forward to the rematch”, he tweeted on Sunday.
