Jon Jones Hit & Run 911 Call and Police Camera Footage Released

Footage of the incident that saw Jon Jones stripped of his UFC title and suspended indefinitely has been released.

Back on 27 April, a hit and run incident involved UFC superstar Jon Jones crashing his SUV into a pregnant woman’s (who suffered a fractured arm as a result of the collision) car. This led Albuquerque Police to seek Jones on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injury. The footage includes the initial call made to the emergency services, along with the statement that the woman gave to Police upon their arrival. The damage caused at the scene and the description of Jones’ actions after the crash occurred are damning.

So much so, the whole thing prompted one officer to remark: “Well he’s f****d!” Indeed.

Of course, it’s not the first instance of ‘Bones’ getting into trouble – a few months earlier in January, it was announced that Jones failed a drug test prior to UFC 182, testing positive for cocaine. He also pled guilty to DUI charges in 2012 after crashing his car into a pole. Hopefully Jones can overcome his demons and return to doing what he does best.
