‘The Answer’ is looking for answers from Conor McGregor – a man he feels is ducking him for the second time.
Frankie Edgar’s coach has been firing salvoes at McGregor for weeks, even prior to last weekend where both men were victorious.
Edgar feels that the Irishman ducked him in favour of Chad Mendes back in July at UFC 189 when Jose Aldo withdrew. Frankie knocked Chad out in the first round of their encounter last week, and will therefore feel justified in his view.
Since Conor McGregor’s UFC 194 win, the new featherweight champ is said to prefer a showdown with either Rafael Dos Anjos or Donald Cerrone at lightweight once the two fight for the 155lb. belt tomorrow night.
This has prompted Edgar to go for the jugular and try to goad the Notorious into a fight.
The former lightweight king has taken to Instagram in an effort to rile the Dubliner, emphasising that he has never been finished (unlike all but one of Conor McGregor’s opponents).
The trouble is, Conor appears far too busy enjoying the fruits of his labour to pay attention to the insult. We’d give it a few weeks, Frankie.
