The SBG Ireland striking coach gave a positive update on the progress his fighter Conor McGregor is making towards fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Conor McGregor’s inactivity has been the cause of great concern for those who watched his meteoric rise to the top of the MMA game. Talk of the money getting to his head, the fame being too much and the competitive spark finally being quenched have been rampant amongst those who have their doubts but when you take a step back, it is pretty clear that something is building.
McGregor is a man who knows how to play both the fans and the media, so as someone who followed him for years, it’s difficult to get too worried about him during this quiet time.
His coach, Owen Roddy, spoke to MMANytt about his star-pupil’s current standing and all things considered, it’s a very positive update.
Roddy is careful not to say too much but from what we can gather, Conor is training as we speak and it does appear as though the UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is next in line.
