Watch: Justin Gaethje Slams UFC For Cerrone’s Placement In Rankings

Justin Gaethje has fired shots at the UFC for their often-controversial ranking system following his huge win over Edson Barboza in Philadelphia.

Gaethje was perfect in his return to the UFC octagon today, knocking out the perennial contender Edson Barboza in the very first round of their UFC on ESPN headliner.

Speaking to Jon Anik directly after the fight, Gaethje voiced his frustration at the fact that his fellow fan-favourite Donald Cerrone was bumped ahead of him in the rankings following his victory over Alex Hernandez in his return to the 155lb division.

“UFC, what the hell are you thinking moving Donald Cerrone in front of me? He beat the #15 and he just gets to jump ahead of me? You guys are crapping on every bit of…

“This is ridiculous!”

“But hey, on to the next one. There are five or six guys in front of me. I want each and every one of them.”

Gaethje’s run in the UFC to date has been nothing less than legendary. Classic showdowns, memorable comebacks, and brutal knockouts, ‘The Highlight’ has lived up to his reputation on each and every outing.

Whatever he does next, I think it’s fair to say that his popularity is at an all-time high.
