Josh Emmett managed to completely turn the momentum of his showdown with Michael Johnson in his favour as he knocked out his opponent with one of the best shots you’ll see all year.
And trust us, we’re not over-exaggerating when we say that.
Featherweights collided on the UFC Philadelphia main-card, the first fight in a trio that produced three stunning finishes.
Emmett found Johnson’s chin with a picture perfect right-hand in the third round of a fight that saw him deal with quite a challenge from ‘The Menace’ beforehand.

Now ranked tenth in the stacked featherweight division, Emmett moves to 5-2 inside the octagon – with wins over Ricardo Lamas and Felipe Arantes coming before today’s win.
It would have no doubt been impossible to wrestle the spotlight away from the triumphant headliner Justin Gaethje but make no mistake, when the end-of-year lists are being made for 2019, do not be surprised to see Emmett’s win last night in that discussion.
