Watch: Holloway & Ortega’s UFC 231 Media Day Faceoff

UFC featherweights Max Holloway and Brian Ortega will fight for the Hawaiian’s title on Saturday night and both engaged in a tense staredown last night.

Can we just lock them in a cage already and get on with it?

There are few fights in the UFC right now that are as interesting from a stylistic perspective as the showdown between these two young, streaking 145lb-rs.

The champ Max Holloway has been in a constant state of escalation ever since his last career loss Рwhich, of course, came against Conor McGregor Рgoing twelve for twelve and taking the heads of the likes of Cub Swanson, Anthony Pettis, and Jos̩ Aldo twice.

Ortega is one of those fighters that has that incredible x-factor necessary to find a finish even when it seems as though he has no hope. Even when the fight starts poorly for him, he’s the type of guy who has the killer instinct necessary to be a nightmare from first bell to last.
