With UFC 209 now in the past, UFC On Fox have released a new interactive 360° video of the event, allowing viewers to dive right into the night’s action at several key moments scattered throughout.
UFC 209 was always going to underperform somewhat due to the late cancellation of the card’s co-main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, but when you look at the quality of the fights as a whole, we really were treated to a very solid night of action.
Darren Elkins and Iuri Alcantara brought home the Performance of the Night awards when all was said and done and it was the thrilling contest between David Teymur and the rising prospect Lando Vannata that took home Fight of the Night honours.
Across the card there were big finishes for the likes of Alistair Overeem and Cynthia Calvillo and despite the criticism levelled at the rather tame welterweight title rematch between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson, the night as a whole delivered in the eyes of many and did a good job at erasing the memory of February’s rather awful UFC 208 from our minds.
Now, UFC On Fox have released a truly unique video perspective of the recent event, offering fans the chance to immerse themselves in an interactive 360° experience where they can control a fully-mobile camera at several key moments throughout the night.
It’s a fresh, new way to experience the buzz of a numbered UFC event and certainly worth a moment of your time.
