UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier took a tumble just after last night’s UFC 226 pre-fight press conference before limping off-stage.
It just seems as though the UFC can’t catch a break these days.
Another blockbuster card was shaken to its core yesterday as the UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway was forced to withdraw from his co-main event headlining showdown with Brian Ortega after displaying concussive-like symptoms in the last week.
There was an outpouring of both disappointment and sympathy for the Hawaiian in the hours that followed but at last night’s pre-fight presser, the entire MMA world were left in a brief state of shock after Daniel Cormier tripped while leaving the stage after the show.

The champ stayed down for a moment before limping off stage before returning moments after to face off against his opponent Stipe Miocic. In the time since he has claimed that the fight is not in jeopardy whatsoever but in truth, it’s not like he’d disclose the details if he did receive a knock.
At least things do seem on course for us to have our headliner when the action goes down tomorrow night. This was a brief scare that we could have done without, however.
