The UFC have uploaded their official preview for their ESPN+1 showdown between flyweight champ Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw.
The super-fight matchup that will stand as Cejudo’s first defense of the title he won by defeating the long-time champion Demetrious Johnson last year and to be honest, it’s a fight that is far more interesting than many are giving it credit for.
Dillashaw is draining himself to make 125lbs, and while clearly not a massive bantamweight – that extra 10lbs, relative to his weight, is a lot more for him to cut than it would be for a heavier fighter.
It’s hard to know exactly how compromised he will be when he gets in there with the flyweight king but even still, TJ has been able to establish himself as one of the very best on the planet in recent years and when January 19 comes around, we will most certainly be treated to something fantastic.
It’s the first Olympic gold-medalist to become a UFC champion against the first prospective champ-champ to actually shed the pounds and move down in weight.
Daniel Cormier previewed the action in a promo video uploaded to the official YouTube account of the UFC.
