UFC president Dana White had flat-out denied that he’s in talks with Conor McGregor and his team, despite them claiming that was the case.
The last few weeks have seen some real positive updates emerge concerning the return of the UFC’s former two-weight world champion, Conor McGregor. Sure, there hasn’t been anything official but considering how quiet a figure he has cut in the last few months, one could well assume from the way things are playing out that something is brewing.
With Khabib Nurmagomedov in control of the lightweight title, the anticipation levels for a matchup between McGregor and the unbeaten Russian really have taken off in recent months but despite it seeming like the perfect time to get this one signed, Conor’s legal issues remain the one thing stopping the fight from becoming a reality.
There’s been some talk from both sides though that would lead us to believe that a line of communication has been established between the two parties and the UFC, but, according to UFC president Dana White, nothing has happened on the front and nothing will until McGregor’s day in court this month is through.
It’s Dana White’s word against everyone else’s it seems.
