Watch: Conor McGregor Sparring Former WBF Champion Boxer In MMA

Watch Conor McGregor as he introduces the former WBF champion boxer Patrick Hyland to the finer aspects of unarmed combat in a sparring video from 2013.

For those of you who are looking for even a vague idea of what an MMA matchup between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather would look like, look no further.

The year was 2013 and McGregor was only five years into his professional MMA journey but in a sparring video uploaded to Coach John Kavanagh’s YouTube account, he showed that he already had the multi-faceted skillset necessary to completely dismantle a top-level pro-boxer like Hyland.

Jump forward five years and with all of this talk of Floyd Mayweather taking on the Irishman inside the octagon, allow the video below to give you more of a hint at what a pro-MMA athlete engaging a pro-boxer looks like.

True, they aren’t exactly hunting for the kill, but with kicks, knees, elbows and, of course, his Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling, it’s pretty clear that Conor McGregor is in complete control of this session.

Someone should maybe send this video to Floyd and his team.
