Following his impressive five-round win over Rafael dos Anjos, Colby Covington earned himself another foe during a post-fight interview with Michael Bisping.
After all of the questions, all of the controversy and, of course, all of the trash-talking, Colby Covington proved last night that he is very capable of hanging with the elite of the elite at 170lbs.
UFC 225’s co-main event featured the interim welterweight title showdown between Rafael dos Anjos and the divisive eventual winner, Covington and while we’re sure there were more than a few people dying to see the loudmouthed ‘Chaos’ get absolutely starched in the first-round, he did manage to impose a solid gameplan on his opponent, visibly sapping his energy as the fight wore on.
There were times where RDA appeared to regain some of his composure, for the most part, Covington dictated the fight’s flow.
As the winner and the newly-crowned UFC interim-welterweight champion, Colby took great pleasure in addressing several members of the UFC on FOX desk in the fight’s aftermath – following each of their very public comments, doubting his abilities.
Michael Bisping, who was on the desk, did not take kindly to the interim-champ’s attitude and the pair got into a pretty hilarious spat on live television.
