The relationship between UFC dual-weight champion Conor McGregor and brothers Nate and Nick Diaz has been a fiery one in recent times, with Nate’s pair of monumental bouts against the Irishman the source of an infinite amount of heated trash-talk.

And yet, after McGregor’s historic victory over lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, TMZ caught video footage of both Nick and Nate Diaz leaving the premises in which McGregor’s after-party was taking place.

In the run-up to both of Conor and Nate’s exhilarating bouts, both repeatedly engaged in some truly memorable verbal skirmishes, causing a tension that peaked at the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference.

In the now infamous media event, Conor faced down a crew of Nate’s Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu teammates, including his brother Nick and former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez. Diaz left the stage in response to his opponent’s poor time-keeping skills and lack of respect, only to return moments later in a dramatic show of strength, taunting the Notorious one as he sat opponent-less on the stage.

When things began to boil over, bottles and energy-drink cans were fired across the room by both sides, causing the conference to be brought to a premature end. When the pair finally did meet again, it was McGregor whose hand was raised; the victor in a bout that will go down in the sport’s history as one of the most thrilling in recent memory.

We can only speculate at this point as to why both Diaz brothers were present at their heated rival’s night of celebration, but it is certainly an interesting turn of events and perhaps one we will understand more about in the coming weeks.
