The UFC’s official YouTube have dropped an exceptional video for the upcoming UFC 241 showdown between Nate Diaz and Anthony Pettis.
The heavyweight clash between defending champion Daniel Cormier and his former foe Stipe Miocic may well be sitting in the night’s top-billed showdown, but in many people’s eyes, it will be the co-main event matchup that will draw the most eyes to UFC 241.
For the first time in nearly three years, Nate Diaz will walk to the UFC octagon. Famously criticised by UFC president Dana White in the past for not being a ‘needle mover’, there’s every chance that he will receive one of the loudest crowd receptions of the year once he steps in to take on Anthony Pettis on September 17.
Pettis, though a few years removed from his time as the UFC lightweight champion, has found something of a resurgence in his form after knocking out Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson in stunning fashion earlier this year.
If you weren’t already buzzed for the UFC 241 co-main event, this latest promo vid is one that will do wonders in putting the significance of the fight into perspective

It’s hard to know exactly how many improvements Nate has been able to make since going to war with Conor McGregor at UFC 202 but according to word from his training partners and based on his social media activity, it does seem as though he has been quite a regular fixture in the gym week-in, week-out.
Whether or not that will be enough to see him past the incredibly dangerous and dynamic Showtime is anyone’s guess, but even still, chances are that we’re going to be in for a treat once things get underway on the night.
