Tyron Woodley didn’t hold back when asked about fighting the newly-crowned interim-welterweight champion Colby Covington during a recent Q&A.
UFC 225’s co-main event interim-welterweight title contest saw a brash new champion crowned in the form of American Top Team standout Colby Covington after he defeated Rafael dos Anjos in what amounted to a gruelling five-round encounter.
Dos Anjos has been known for years for his heavy pressure, relentless cardio and his ability to break opponents as the fight wears on but in this latest outing, he received a pretty sizeable helping of his own medicine. Covington, despite all of the controversy and trash-talking, stepped up to the plate with a smothering performance against his Brazilian adversary.
And while the fight was a lot closer than many believe it was, Colby’s strategic approach to chipping away at RDA allowed him to come away with the win, setting him up now for a highly intriguing contest with the undisputed champ Tyron Woodley.
Woodley, who hasn’t fought since his five-round nullification-job on the BJJ-wiz Demian Maia at UFC 214, took to his official Instagram for a live-stream Q&A and with him now on a collision course with ‘Chaos’, made no secret of the fact that he genuinely detests the man.
Tyron Woodley conducted an Instagram live stream and went off on Colby Covington. Here’s a portion of the opening quote:
“I ain’t never in my life, I ain’t never in my career, I ain’t never in my existence as an adult human being wanted to f*** somebody up so bad…” pic.twitter.com/GAA4z8RXSa

It’s a welterweight title fight with all of the ingredients necessary to a memorable one and with the champ now fully recovered from his recent shoulder surgery, expect the UFC to strike when the iron is hot and get his one set up before year’s end.
