UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson has released a statement following the widespread concerns about his wellbeing following some recent turmoil.
After the news came out that Ferguson’s wife had filed for a temporary restraining order against following numerous instances of bizarre and frightening behaviour, there has been a massive outpour of support from the fighting community for El Cucuy.
Tony is among the most electric competitors in the game today – a truly visceral talent who puts on a show each and every time he steps into the octagon.
Last seen at UFC 229 against Anthony Pettis – another instant-classic matchup – Ferguson was expected to make another push for lightweight title honours once again in 2019 – with the champion Khabib Nurmagomedov set to return in the year’s latter half.
It is unknown at present what the future holds for the former interim-title holder.
Tony took to his official Instagram page to reassure the fans that he is getting the help he needs, thanking them all for their support.
