Joe Rogan has stressed his belief that the former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is going to return better than ever when he rematches Daniel Cormier at UFC 241.
There were many people who picked DC to upset the odds upon getting in there with the most decorated champion in the history of the UFC’s heavyweight division.
The light-heavyweight king’s resumé warranted more than the underdog status that had been bestowed upon him, of course, but not even his most loyal of supporters could have ever have predicted that he would knock the famously durable Miocic out in the very first-round.

Although DC himself seemingly knew exactly how things would end.
Uh, how about Daniel Cormier predicting the exact exchange in which he'd knock Stipe Miocic out? We got Mystic Mac 2.0 over here. Wow. #UFC226pic.twitter.com/epprS39yjR

Now, after consistently calling out the champ for the last year since UFC 226, Miocic – who has not been seen in action since, has finally had his wish granted.
UFC 241 on August 17 will be the date that hosts the rematch between these two legendary figures and in a recent episode of his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the UFC’s iconic colour-commentator himself explained why he believes Miocic will return better than ever.
“DC connected with that beautiful punch in the clinch, but Stipe has had over a year to stew on that.
“I think [the time off is] a good thing for Stipe. Stipe’s an animal, I’m not worried about that. I think he’s going to be better.
“Stipe’s a real veteran. He’s a humble dude. He’s a hard ass, he’s not going to come in there with a lot of expectations on himself, he’s just going to do his best, I think.
“If Donald Cerrone were to take a year off and then fight a title, I’d be like ‘woo, I’d like Donald to get a fight in.” (via BJPenn.com)
