The UFC are reportedly planning on scrapping their flyweight division ahead of champion Henry Cejudo’s move up to bantamweight to challenge TJ Dillashaw for the title.
FloCombat reported first that the promotion are planning on following up the exit of the division’s most successful champion by axing the weight-class from their roster.
According to the same reports, not all of the current 125lb stock will be asked to move up 10lbs, instead, a lot of them will likely be cut form the roster.
BREAKING: We're hearing the #UFC men's flyweight division is 100% being dissolved, likely done by the end of 2018.
THE KICKER: Not all flyweights are being asked to move up to bantamweight. They're just getting cut. Unreal.
We'll update you as we receive more info.

It’s hard to know how to feel about this.
The division no doubt suffered in the eyes of the fans due to the dominance of one champion but is this really the route to take?
