Ireland’s Joseph Duffy is reportedly being pegged for a spot on March’s UFC London against Marc ‘The Bonecrusher’ Diakiese.
Reports coming from Newsome MMA has linked Duffy to a showdown with powerful lightweight Marc Diakiese at UFC London – a bout that would no doubt serve as another welcome addition to what is seen as a fantastic night of fights.
Last seen at UFC 217 on the receiving end of a TKO loss to top-10 lightweight James Vick, Duffy was unlucky to lose out in the manner that he did, considering how impressive he was looking up until that point.
Still, though, the time has well and truly come for ‘Irish’ Joe to step into the big-time and make a splash at 155lbs and with an opponent like Marc Diakiese in front of him, the stage could be set for exactly that.
Diakiese, the undoubtedly talented but recently-stunted Englishman, came into the UFC in blitzing form – adding to his undefeated record with three fantastic wins to kick-off his run in the biggest promotion on the planet.
From there, he dropped three straight – losing to Drakkar Klose, Dan Hooker, and most recently, Nasrat Haqparast – leaving him at a middle-of-the-road 3-3 in 6 UFC appearances.
‘The Bonecrusher’ seemed to signal that an official announcement is imminent with a post made to his official Twitter account.

UFC London already boasts an amazing lineup of fights including the return of Gunnar Nelson to face Leon Edwards, the crucial light-heavyweight clash of Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes and of course, the headlining welterweight bout between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal.
