Reports coming from the Twitter account MMA Team Dagestan have claimed that a fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Georges St-Pierre is in the works.
We’re going to tread carefully with this one.
It’s hard to know how much substance there is to this but it is important to note that the account responsible for the tweet also successfully reported that Khabib vs. McGregor would headline UFC 229 two months before the official announcement.
We’ve also verified that they have had several other accurate reports relating to fight-announcements, promotional signings and events in the past.
It’s also important to note that ‘in the works’ can mean anything from contract stages to an idea that floated into Dana White’s head one morning.
We’re bringing this news to you because of the MMA Team Dagestan’s successful reporting on the UFC 229 headliner as well as the cryptic tweet posted by Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz yesterday.
We will blow your mind big news coming @TeamKhabib 🔥🔥🔥🙏🏻

A showdown between the greatest welterweight of all-time and perhaps the most devasting grappler of the history of the game would certainly be enough to blow our minds, right?
Make of this information what you will.
