Unconfirmed Reports Suggest Nurmagomedov Was Hospitalized Three Hours Before UFC 209 Weigh-Ins

Reports from the Russian media have suggested that UFC 209 co-main event headliner Khabib Nurmagomedov was hospitalised three hours ahead of his official weigh-in for his bout with Tony Ferguson.

Today, with UFC 209 just one day away, reports have surfaced that suggest that the interim-lightweight title challenger Khabib Nurmagomedov was hospitalised just hours before he was due to appear at the UFC 209 official weigh-ins.

Khabib is scheduled to face Tony Ferguson over five rounds in the co-main event and though nothing is yet confirmed, Bloody Elbow’s Karim Zidan and ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported the following this evening.

Details are scarce on this story at this point but supposedly the news was confirmed by member’s of Nurmagomedov’s team amid the wave of speculation that followed the report.

If this is true, it’s still uncertain how it will affect his ability to make weight or compete in his matchup with Ferguson but we will keep you updated as this story unfolds.
