Paul Pogba is a man who is fully aware of the immense pressures of superstardom. The former-Juventus man has come under intense media and fan scrutiny since completing his record-breaking £89.3 million move back to his original club, Manchester United.
And yet, despite the naysayers and the ever-present glare of the public eye, Pogba has found an opportunity – in his own special way – to congratulate the newly-crowned, dual-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor, who made history last weekend at UFC 205.
McGregor, who was the originally the UFC’s featherweight champion, stepped up a division to face lightweight kingpin, Eddie Alvarez, a man who boasted one of the greatest resumes in UFC lightweight history. When the long-awaited contest finally went down, it appeared to be nothing more than a stroll in the park for the stylish Irishman, with him putting on a virtually flawless performance to take home both belts.
Paul Pogba’s confidence and swagger are key elements in his success, something that could be seen as similar to the most prominent personal traits found in McGregor. Both are relatively young men in their respective fields, with McGregor being 28 and Pogba, 23 and each man certainly has a very bright future ahead of them.
Taking to his official Instagram page, Pogba shared his personal tribute to the Notorious One, imitating Conor’s famous in-octagon walk to an absolute tee.
Conor will no doubt get a laugh out of this one.
