Paulo Costa wasn’t exactly thrilled to hear that interim-champion Israel Adesanya had insinuated that he had the small arms of a tyrannosaurus rex.
Yes, you read that correctly.
In a tweet posted during Saturday’s superb middleweight title-eliminator, The Last Stylebender seemed to suggest that not only was Borrachinha using banned substances, but also that his arms resembled those of the now-extinct species of dinosaur.
Apologies, there is no way for us to write this with a straight face.

Costa seemed to take the comments to heart and in his post-fight press conference, he fired back.
Speaking in the direct aftermath of his stunning UFC 241 showdown with Romero, Costa responded to Adesanya’s tweet by threatening him with a new level of violence – all while picking him to hand Robert Whittaker his first loss since leaving 170lbs in favour of the middleweight division.
“He says I have, uh, ‘dinosaur arms.’ So. It’s personal. He’s very skinny, he not have a chance against me.
“I think that both are looking to me, scared. Because the both guys know now they have a very, very tough guy looking for them.”
“I think Whittaker will beat Adesanya. But, I beat Romero. For me, Romero won against Robert Whittaker. But if Adesanya won, (and) takes the belt? Man. I can kill that guy!”
The entire landscape of the division could well look very different once all is said and done in Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium at UFC 243 but following his razor-thin victory over The Soldier Of God, there shall be no doubts over the identity of the weight-class’ next top contender.
