ONE Championship Reportedly Signed Three-Year US Broadcasting Deal

ONE Championship have reportedly put pen to paper on a three-year broadcast deal with Turner Sports according to word coming from ESPN.

ESPN reported today that the ever-growing Asian MMA promotion will be making their move into the US market as early as next January.

It’s the logical next step after Chatri Sityodtong’s recent spree of signings – a spree that saw huge names such as Demetrious Johnson, Eddie Alvarez, and Sage Northcutt commit themselves to the ONE banner.

According to reports, ONE have signed a three-year deal with Turner Sports, one that will come into effect from January 1 and will see the promotion broadcast 24 events live on TNT.

The first scheduled event is set for Jakarta, Indonesia on January 19, although there is no indication if any of their recent marquee signings will debut on that night.

Many had assumed that ONE were setting up to make a crack at the US market and with this latest move, there’s no doubt that things are about to get very interesting as another MMA promotion looks to create some buzz on American screens.
