Nathaniel Wood Delivers Big At UFC London, Turns In Slick Display

Nathaniel Wood came through with a career-best performance at UFC London today, submitting the in-form Jose Alberto Quinones on the night’s main-card.

Coming into this one on the back of a pair of UFC submission finishes, Wood’s presence was certainly known in the 02 Arena in London once he made his walk to the octagon.

Quinones was on a four-fight win-streak coming into this one but he rarely looked a threat to the Englishman. The crowd were getting behind their man at every turn and all in all, it looked as though we were seeing another level of performance from the former Cage Warriors champion.

Successful on the feet and slick on the ground throughout, Wood managed to finally chain together a fight-ending sequence in the second round, taking Jose’s back before locking in a tight rear-naked choke to win it out.
