José Aldo and Max Holloway finally came face-to-face at the UFC 212 media day and depending on how you look it, ‘Blessed’ managed to either honour or subtly dig at the Brazilian champ with a gift given to him on the day.
Max Holloway currently stands as the UFC’s interim-featherweight champion after his impressive UFC 206 victory over Anthony Pettis but has the opportunity to unify his belt with the undisputed title when he takes on José Aldo at UFC 212 in Brazil.
Holloway brought a gift of a soccer ball along with him to the media-day staredowns in what can either be seen as a show of respect or more likely, a subtle dig at the retirement plans of the current 145lb champ.
Max Holloway brought a soccer ball to give to Jose Aldo because Aldo said he wants to play soccer when he's done fighting.
