The legendary Mark Hunt walked out to a fearsome haka as he fought the last fight in his UFC contract against Justin Willis at UFC Adelaide.
And while he is remembered fondly for his days as a kickboxer as well as his time in PRIDE, Hunt definitely achieved some amazing things inside the UFC octagon.
Whether it was brutal knockouts of the likes of Frank Mir or Stefan Struve or his part in the greatest heavyweight fight of all-time against Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva, there’s a special place in the hearts of the MMA fanbase for the Super Samoan.
Facing Justin Willis before departing the UFC at UFC Adelaide, Hunt came out to a performance of the haka – a traditional dance in Maori culture.
He may have lost the fight by way of unanimous decision but he leaves him behind him a legacy for being one of the most entertaining fighters to ever do it.
Wherever he fights next, we’re sure people will tune in.
