Luke Rockhold Calls Out Jon Jones: “Hold Tight, I’m Coming Princess”

The former UFC middleweight champion of the world Luke Rockhold has fired shots at the newly-reinstated 205lb champ Jon Jones.

Rockhold has had something of a mixed run since winning the title by defeating Chris Weidman by brutal ground-and-pound TKO at UFC 194.

He was on the receiving end of one of the most shocking underdog KO wins of all-time as the perennial contender Michael Bisping beat him in the very first round of their UFC 199 showdown.

Rebounding with a TKO victory over David Branch saw the former-champ then lose out against Yoel Romero at UFC 221 for what was one of last year’s most devastating knockouts.

Now, it does appear as though he has his eye on the 205lb division and after Jon Jones’ dominant UFC 232 victory over Alexander Gustafsson to win back the belt he never lost, it looks like Rockhold is set on taking him out.

“I’m moving up to get after him [Jones]. That’s what I’m here for. The last couple years, I’ve been compromising myself so much to get down to 185, and my body just falls apart in training camp the last few weeks. [Light-heavyweight] just feels right.

“I feel healthy. I feel comfortable, and I’m excited to take down these light heavyweights. I just don’t see a lot there.”

“Hold tight – I’m coming, Princess.”
