Khabib, McGregor, & Ferguson React To Poirier’s UFC 236 Victory

Three of the very best lightweights on the planet chimed in to congratulate Dustin Poirier on his thrilling victory over Max Holloway at UFC 236.

Tony Ferguson was quick to offer himself up as a potential opponent for Poirier in his next outing, citing the fans as a reason to get this one signed.

As of right now, it’s hard to know exactly when El Cucuy will make his return to the octagon following reports of some personal issues he is in the process of overcoming at present.

While not agreeing with the scorecards, the champ Nurmagomedov vowed that he would meet Poirier inside the octagon upon his return in September.

November was the date thrown around by The Eagle prior to this statement so one would have to assume that the emergence of a new contender has been enough to perhaps compel him to return slightly earlier.

McGregor, of course, mixed his praise with something of a dig at The Diamond, as he basically told him to get in line for a shot at the champ – despite Dana White’s insistence that he would next up for Khabib.

Citing Nate Diaz as a potential opponent, Conor didn’t seem to think that Poirier had done enough to deprive him of a rematch with the Russian.
