Khabib Nurmagomedov has confirmed that the UFC have signed his cousin Abubakar to make his promotional debut next month in Brazil.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is the name on the lips of virtually everyone who tuned in to see his stunningly dominant UFC 219 victory over Edson Barboza last weekend but with 2018 now in full swing, you could well expect to see another in the Nurmagomedov family competing within the next few weeks.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov is a welterweight whose only loss came against the UFC’s Magomed Mustafaev, a fighter who has tasted defeat on just one occasion in the last five years – being submitted by the former interim-title challenger Kevin Lee in 2016. The fight between Nurmagomedov and Mustafarev that was declared a TKO by way of doctor’s stoppage but since then, the Russian has compiled a six-fight win streak – primarly competing in WSOF.
With this move, another Dagestani destroyer has their chance to make an impression on the world’s biggest stage and according to Khabib himself, his cousin will make his debut in Brazil on February 3.
