In one of the year’s stranger feuds, SBG Ireland’s Dillon Danis appears to be set on taking on UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee in a grappling matchup.
The odd rivalry came about after Lee made some comments about the divisive figure that is Danis during an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show:
“Yeah, we rolled together a few times. Ask him. Ask him. You ask him.
“Tell Conor [McGregor] to ask him and see if he give you the real of how he feel about me or what happened between us because I know Conor kind of look up to Dillon a little bit.
“Think he hot shit, he’s all this black belt and all this. Ask him what the real is and see if he tell you the truth.” (via SportsJoe)
Of course, the always-vocal Danis was quick to respond – calling Lee out for a ‘winner-takes-all grappling match’, one that would be streamed live on Instagram.
‘The Motown Phenom’ wasn’t afraid to take the BJJ-wiz up on his offer.

To be honest, it’s not actually a bad idea.
Both guys are pretty well-known in the MMA world and both have been emerging as two of its most vocal members – so pitting them against each other in an arena where the mixed martial arts-newcomer Danis would be comfortable could be a pretty entertaining sideshow as we await his return to the MMA cage.
