Justin Gaethje moved his current run of form to three straight first-round TKO’s, this time passing the test set for him by Donald Cerrone in the UFC Vancouver main-event.
At the end of the day, the sheer power possessed by the former-WSOF champion was simply too much for the veteran Cerrone to deal with.
Though famously a slow-starter, Cowboy appeared to be doing just fine in there – even if his adversary was the one landing with more regularity but once Gaethje was able to start consistently tagging his man, it wasn’t long until the fight was over.
Catching Cerrone clean before following up with some shots in the clinch, The Highlight let his anger towards referee Jerin Valel be known after he was forced to land several shots to his clearly-dazed opponent before the fight was eventually stopped.

For reference, three first-round finishes at this level is the type of form that puts Justin’s current surge par with heavyweight power-puncher Francis Ngannou and yet, now, like The Predator, his immediate place within the title-picture remains unclear.
Speaking directly afterwards, Gaethje called for a title-shot against the eventual winner of the eagerly anticipated showdown between divisional champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and the former interim-champ, Tony Ferguson.
