Jorge Masvidal Vs. Nate Diaz Reportedly Confirmed To Headline UFC 244

ESPN have confirmed that the potentially massive showdown between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz will serve as the UFC 244 headliner.

Brett Okamoto spoke to UFC president Dana White and confirmed the news on Saturday ahead of UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

Nate Diaz took to the microphone after his impressive UFC 241 victory over Anthony Pettis to call out his fellow welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal – whose own status has shot through the roof following massive wins over Ben Askren and Darren Till.

According to ESPN‘s Ariel Helwani, the fight will be contested over five-rounds and will serve as the Madison Square Garden card’s main-event.

Both men are known for their no bulls**t approach to the fight-business and with each of their respective stocks close to their peaks, one would have to assume that the winner will be in pole position for a shot at the welterweight title – especially given how difficult it has been to negotiate a fight between the champ Kamaru Usman and top contender Colby Covington.
