Jon Jones Breaks Social Media Silence Following Failed Drug Test

The troubled three-time UFC champion has broken his social media silence following word that he had failed a USADA drug test collected just after last month’s UFC 214 official weigh-ins.

It just seems to be another day in the life of Jon Jones, but in all seriousness it’s hard to give this man any more chances after the rollercoaster ride he has taken his fans on in recent years.

His problems outside the octagon have deprived us all of witnessing the greatest mixed martial artist of all time reach his potential but now, following his most serious and inexcusable infraction yet, his career as a whole may be jeopardy.

Jones was flagged for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid, and though we must suspend our judgement until all of the facts are known, early signs suggest that his punishment this time around will be severe, with some suggesting that the 30-year-old will be handed a four-year suspension as a result of his prior troubles with the drug-testing agency USADA – namely his UFC 200 pull out back in 2016.

Now, after Jon’s team released a statement to the media, ‘Bones’ himself broke his social media silence by releasing a short, but cryptic tweet. To be honest, we’ve heard it before from history’s youngest ever UFC champion, almost word-for-word, so until anything else comes to light, we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for this man and his legendary career that could well be left in tatters after all is said and done.
