The light-heavyweight fan favourite Johnny Walker is reportedly being lined up for a return to the UFC octagon at UFC 244.
The 27-year-old’s run in the UFC has been nothing short to astounding so far, having rattled off three consecutive first-round knockouts that have combined for a total octagon time that falls under three minutes.
His last win, a flying knee over Misha Cirkunov, announced the now #12-ranked Walker to the divisional top-15 and according to reports turned in by ESPN, the UFC are looking at #8 Corey Anderson as the man who will test him next.
Riding a three-fight win-streak which includes the names of Glover Teixeira, Patrick Cummins, and most recently, Ilir Latifi, Anderson will perhaps be able to ask questions of the Brazilian that he has managed to evade during his rise so far.
If he can overcome a fighter of Anderson’s form, the sky is truly the limit.
With UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden on November 9 the likely home for this 205lb clash,
Walker still had enough time to enjoy a trip to Ireland and with that, take advantage of the opportunity to train with several SBG stars including John Redmond and Will Fleury.
