According to reports from ESPN, the UFC are looking to set up a featherweight showdown between Jeremy Stephens and Zabit Magomedsharipov for UFC 235.
Ariel Helwani of ESPN reported first that the UFC are looking to bolster March’s UFC 235 with a pivotal featherweight clash between two of the most exciting fighters on the roster.
Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Jeremy Stephens is in the works for UFC 235 on March 2 in Las Vegas, multiple sources told ESPN. The fight isn't finalized just yet but moving in the right direction. https://t.co/KT5Nnegh1V

The last time we saw Jeremy Stephens in action, he was on the receiving end of a TKO loss to the former-champion José Aldo – a brutal body shot that brought a steady period of solid pressure from ‘Lil Heathen’ to a swift end.
Zabit Magomedsharipov has been seen as one of the finest prospects in MMA in any division and while he has been aiming to get himself in there with the elite featherweights of the world, several last-minute pullouts have stunted his progress somewhat.
UFC 235 already plays host to the return of Nick Diaz – who will face Jorge Masvidal on the main-card, as well as the showdowns between Mickey Gall and Diego Sanchez, Tecia Torres and Weili Zhang, and, of course, the UFC debut of Ben Askren – who faces the legendary former-champ Robbie Lawler.
