James Gallagher Defeats Jeremiah Labiano In Composed & Mature Performance

James Gallagher put on his most composed display yet as he defeated Jeremiah Labiano in a gritty showdown on the Bellator London main-card.

And it was not without something of a challenge for the 22-year-old as he traded positions with the BJJ black-belt over the course of the fifteen minutes.

The opening round went as smoothly as one could hope for the Irishman as he managed to secure a takedown early on, controlling the flow of the opening stanza from the comfort of a dominant side-control position.

After doling out some damage in the opener, the second was certainly something of a bumpier ride as Labiano began to find his footing in the second – making it competitive on the feet and asking some interesting questions of the SBG man on the ground.

With it all to fight for in the third round, James was the one who took the fight by the scruff of the neck, achieving mount within the first minute and then tying up and successfully nullifying Labiano until the final bell.

All three judges saw it as a 29-28 in favour of the 22-year-old and with that, Gallagher moves to 9-1 with his second victory on the trot.
