Former BAMMA title-challenger Richard Kiely has officially signed with Bellator MMA.
‘The Face of BAMMA’ will now attempt to become ‘The Face of Bellator’ after being picked up by the organisation just three fights into his pro-MMA career.
As a decorated kickboxer – Kiely has never been one to shy away from speaking his thoughts, but after his unsuccessful title-challenge against Alex Lohore at BAMMA 32 in Dublin last year – he abruptly announced his retirement from the sport.
It seems as though his mind was changed when the world’s second-biggest MMA promotion came a’knocking and now, the SBG talent will try to make a mark – becoming the latest Irish fighter to sign on as a Bellator athlete.
According to MMAFighting’s sources, he will be one of a few other Irish – and specifically SBG products that will be picked up by Scott Coker and co. over the course of the coming weeks and months.
