Alexander Gustafsson appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast recently and explained the lengths he would go to secure a rematch with Jon Jones.
Few wars in recent times have entered the category reserved for the truly legendary fights within the UFC but it’s not exactly a stretch to say that 2013’s light-heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson could go up against any single one of them.
It was a truly beautiful contest in every sense of the word and for Jones, it was the first time he was forced to contend with a fighter who was taller than him and boy did it show! Insanely competitive from start-to-end, Jones got the nod from the judges when it came to it but for many, the fight could have easily gone either way.
Gustafsson in the time since, has had his fair share of ups and downs, but ever since his stunning fifth-round KO of Glover Texeira, it really does look as though he has recaptured his form.
‘The Mauler’ appeared on a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast and explained exactly how much a second outing against Jones would mean to him and what he would be willing to do to attain it.
