Tony Ferguson Blasts Media, UFC, Khabib & McGregor In Bizarre Interview

Tony Ferguson has emerged after his lengthy spell on the sidelines with a vengeance, taking aim at virtually everyone in an expletive-laden interview.

For the first couple of questions, Tony defiantly channelled NFL superstar Marshawn Lynch, telling the media “I’m just here because I have to be here.”

Eventually, ‘El Cucuy’ took some questions about his road to recovery, but this quickly segued into an attack on the UFC, the media, and virtually everyone else who has spoken out against him in recent times.

“It’s been five months since my injury, it took a long f**king time for me to be here.

“They took my belt, took a bunch of zeroes from my f**king pay cheque, how do you think I f**king feel? It’s all fun and games, right?

“I had a lot of heat, man. Lot of people f**king saying shit, doing stuff, f**king using my terms. People wanna call me ‘weird’, call me ‘cringe’, want to use my shit and not give me credit.”

In a rather strange turn of events, Tony was stripped of the interim-lightweight title he earned by submitted Kevin Lee at UFC 216 after suffering a gruesome knee injury in the days leading up to UFC 223.

Of course, the events that followed would shape the current lightweight title picture but against all odds, the former Ultimate Fighter winner was able to bounce back from this setback and will return to action far sooner than anyone could have predicted.

“I’m the f**king champ. I didn’t lose my belt, they took it from me. The one thing they didn’t take was my smile so after my surgery I made a conscious decision to not want anybody else’s help that wouldn’t want to help me.

“Yeah, I’ve got a little bit of a chip on my shoulder, it’s still there, it weighs a lot, but during this whole entire process I gained a whole lot more than you guys will ever imagine.

“It took one physical therapist to give me a condescending handshake and I put it in my head to say ‘f**k that dude’. Because they were telling me six months to a year and I said ‘you know what, I’m going to do it in four’. I quit drinking and changed my life around.”

As for his prediction for the headlining matchup between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, well, I think it’s fair to say his take is pretty unlikely.

“Double knockout. I hope these b***hes knock each other out. They talk enough s**t, I hope they deal with what they’ve got to deal with and squash this s**t.

“This is a man’s sport and we’re trying to clean this s**t up but you’ve got these two knuckleheads going out there and making an a** of themselves.”

And, of course, there was this absolute gem.
