The former heavyweight champion of the world issued a statement to his fans following the news that he failed a drug test administered by USADA.
Another former-champ, another failed USADA test it seems!
The former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum’s career is one that has contained many highlights.
The first man to submit both Fedor Emelianenko and Cain Velasquez could retire tomorrow and leave behind him a legacy as strong as any heavyweight contender in recent memory but with his last outing, a TKO loss to Alexander Volkov, it did finally appear as though his years on the big stage were finally catching up with him.
To make matters worse, the news emerged in recent days that he had tested positive for a banned substance according to USADA.
Werdum and his team vehemently denied this accusation from the off and in a statement made via his official Instagram recently, he made it clear that he would get to the bottom of it.
