Douglas Lima proved himself to be of a different class as he abruptly halted the progress of Michael Venom Page with a stunning KO.
Don’t get it twisted, though, Page had his moments and for a while, seemed to be throwing the Brazilian’s game off to a certain extent.
Douglas was able to secure a takedown in the first round but neither man was able to do much in the opening stanza.
MVP’s best moment of the fight came shortly after the start of the second, where he was able to catch his opponent with a hard shot behind the ear – stumbling him briefly.
But in the night’s defining shot, Lima timed a perfect leg kick on one of Page’s patented lunges – sending him completely off-balance and right into the eventual path of a beautiful shovel hook – one that put out the highly-touted striker’s lights.
Douglas Lima put him to sleep 🤭

With this loss, Page crashes out of the Bellator welterweight grand-prix and suffers the first loss of his pro-career to date.
Lima, on the other, continues to prove himself to be amongst the best 170lb-r’s in the planet and now, he will have the chance to fight for the belt in the Bellator welterweight grand-prix finals, where he will face the winner of Rory MacDonald vs. Neiman Gracie.
