Daniel Cormier Promises To Outstrike Stipe Miocic At UFC 226

The UFC’s light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has promised the fans that he will outstrike Stipe Miocic when they meet at UFC 226.

UFC 225 may be the one receiving the bulk of the attention as we move closer to seeing it take place, but July’s UFC 226 will be headlined by one of the most eagerly anticipated super-fights of all-time.

Stipe Miocic established himself as the most successful UFC heavyweight champion of all time earlier this year when he dominated the hard-handed Francis Ngannou on the way to a lopsided decision win but with this matchup, has found himself paired up with one of the finest fighters the sport has ever known.

Daniel Cormier may have recently been knocked out by the former-champ by Jon Jones at UFC 214, but as a consequence of the controversies that surrounded Jones’ failed drug-test, the 205lb champion he remains.

Taking to his official Instagram, the former Olympian had the following to say about his plan for Miocic and if he keeps to his word, the resulting fight could be an absolute cracker.

“I’m gonna out jab and out strike @stipemiocic on July 7th. New heavyweight champion #Andnew#ufc226

It truly is a super-fight for the ages, and while Miocic will no doubt be the favourite heading in, if DC can pull this off – he would instantly see his P4P G.O.A.T argument strengthen.
