UFC president Dana White will meet with the former champion Conor McGregor this weekend to discuss his future as a fighter in the UFC.
Conor McGregor had the world of MMA in fits of excitement yesterday when he posted a cryptic Instagram picture claiming that we will see him soon after a period of real uncertainty over his future.
Now, further movement has emerged on the McGregor-front, this time in the form of UFC president Dana White confirmed that he will meet with the former two-weight world champion when he flies to Liverpool for this weekend’s UFC event in the city’s Echo Arena.
Speak on a recent edition of SportsCenter, White gave a pretty solid update on McGregor’s future:
“Obviously he has to deal with that in June. I’m flying to Liverpool this weekend for a fight there, and he and I are going to meet in Liverpool.
“We’re going to sit down and talk about his future and what’s next. But obviously I have nothing to do with the legal issues. He has to figure that out on his own.”
This is by far the biggest movement we’ve gotten in the case of Conor McGregor for some time now and while this by no means confirms that the Irishman is back in action, things do seem to be trending in a very positive direction for those invested in his future.
