Dana White Planning Return Fight For Welterweight Darren Till

Dana White spoke to the media in a recent interview and made it known that the UFC are working on a comeback fight for Liverpool’s Darren Till.

Darren Till is a man who well and truly needs a victory at this point.
Sure, he remains one of the youngest fighters in the upper echelons of the welterweight division but after conceding back-to-back defeats in brutal fashion to Tyron Woodley and Jorge Masvidal, the amount of damage he has sustained is certainly a cause for concern.
Now, it appears as though the UFC are interested in throwing him into yet another dangerous, high-stakes matchup.
Speaking in a recent interview with BT Sport, the UFC president spoke of an upcoming meeting in which the future of the Liverpudlian will be discussed and how a showdown with one of his fellow Englishmen could well be on the cards.

“We have a big matchmaking meeting tomorrow and that’s one of the things we’re working on. He’s a great kid and I like him a lot. He’s still young, and he’s still learning and still growing. I still think he has an incredibly bright future.”

And while the streaking contender Leon Edwards has just recently been signed for a pivotal clash with the former interim-title challenger Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on ESPN 4 in July, Dana seemed to like the idea of pairing him up with Till at some point for an all-English showdown on home-soil.

“We talked about that too [a showdown with Leon Edwards]. Those two don’t like each other. We might have to divide the country if we make that fight. I think that’s a massive fight in England.”

It’s hard to know how these two guys’ paths could cross at this point in their respective careers but with that being said, who wouldn’t love to see two of England’s finest face off in a grudge match for the ages?
