The former featherweight champion Cris Cyborg responded to yet another question about her ongoing feud with UFC president Dana White.
After we brought you the first exchange between White and Justino – which can be read in full here – Cyborg has lashed out once again upon being asked for her take on the current standing of her and the UFC president’s relationship.
We all know that Dana can be a dangerous enemy to make in the fight game but by the sounds of things in recent years, Cris has been open to leaving the promotion behind her in search of greener pastures.
Of course, her UFC 232 loss to Amanda Nunes did quite a bit to hurt her stock and the undeniable sense of invincibility she brought with her to the cage every time she made the walk in the last decade.
She now has the opportunity to earn some of that shine back at UFC 240 when she takes on the highly-rated grappler Felicia Spencer in the night’s co-main event.
By the sounds of things, though, we may not have heard the last of this rather public back-and-forth, especially if Justino can pull off the win and return to the win-column.
Speaking to MMAJunkie in a recent interview, Cyborg was asked to reveal how she really feels about Dana and their business relationship at this point.
“I’m just laughing. He’s always lying. I just keep (focus) on myself and keep doing what I’m doing. I know the truth is going to come out.
“If Dana White does something nice for me, I’m going to be surprised. He’s doing this all my career. I just laugh at him. When I see him, I just laugh.
“It’s a business. He’s working with the UFC, but I don’t have to deal with him. I don’t deal with him. I deal with another person in the UFC, and this is not any problem. I just have to be professional.”
