UFC light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has been honoured by ESPN as their third most dominant athlete of the year 2018.
Three fights, three finishes and LeBron James, Luka Modric, Lewis Hamilton, and Novak Djokovic all eating his dust. What a year for DC it has been.
The dual-weight world champion started his year with a dominant second-round stoppage of Volkan Oezdemir, before clinching the heavyweight title in July with a first-round KO of the most dominant UFC champion the division had ever seen in Stipe Miocic.
To cap things off, he was able to easily dismantle Derrick ‘The Black Beast’ Lewis at UFC 230 to make it a perfect 3-0.
ESPN released their annual list of the most dominant athletes in sport and Cormier managed to enter in third place, a truly remarkable achievement when you consider the competition on offer.
