Conor McGregor To Cowboy – “For A Fight Like That, I’ll Fight You”

Donald Cerrone’s return to lightweight saw him go deep into the fire with Alexander Hernandez, picking up an invaluable TKO win in the second-round.

And what a finish it was!

Cerrone and Hernandez went to war for two-rounds, setting a pace that only grew in intensity as the fight went on. It was relentless and it was incredibly violent and when all was said and done, it was Cowboy who got it done.

Conor McGregor has been linked to a showdown against Cerrone for some time now and in a tweet posted during the event, he claimed that he will fight Donald after seeing his work last night.

Conor also had some words for the UFC Brooklyn headliners Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw after their fight ended after a period of 32-seconds.

Cejudo, of course, was the man whose hand was raised and in a second tweet sent later in the night, McGregor congratulated him on his win with a characteristically self-praising fashion.

Cerrone himself acknowledged that the Irishman holds all of the cards at present but again, made it clear that he would be honoured to fight him if that’s how things play out.

The fighter with the most wins in UFC history against the biggest star the sport has ever produced. Both men are exceedingly popular and with Cerrone’s status as a legend growing by the week, who knows, perhaps this is the move to make.
