Conor McGregor did not hold back while responding to the UFC’s plans to strip him of the lightweight title he won back at UFC 205 a year-and-a-half ago.
Despite the massive amounts of attention that this weekend’s UFC 223 has been garnering, the shadow of the man who still officially holds the lightweight belt has been looming large. Conor McGregor’s reign atop the division may well be in its final days but with two men facing off this Saturday who each offer their own unique challenge, the winner may hold the key to finally coaxing him out of his period of inactivity.
Max Holloway has the chance to follow McGregor into that elite and exclusive category set aside for those who have held two UFC belts simultaneously but in order to do that, he must become the first man to defeat the game’s most elite grappler.
Khabib Nurmagomedov deserves credit for taking this fight with Holloway on short-notice but with a full and seemingly stable fight-camp behind him, the odds have been swaying firmly in his favour.
Dana White has confirmed that the fight will be for the undisputed title but in a scathing tweet made from his official Twitter page, Conor McGregor has let the world know exactly what he thinks of that.
You’s’ll strip me of nothing you’s do nothing cunts.

It does appear as though we’ll have more in the way of a solid update on his future after this fight but with this latest outburst, McGregor has at least shown us all that he is far from happy with the handling of his belt.
